The Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) is a metric that indicates the average increase or decrease in the value of an investment for each year of a particular time period.Developments during the course of an individual year are not taken into account when calculating the CAGR. Therefore, the CAGR is particularly suitable for the assessment of long-term investments.

The base price tells us how high the value of the collectible was when it was first released (an inflation rate included).
